Research

My research centers on the development of uncooled sensors using thin films of functional oxides. Having previously worked on superconducting devices based on YBa₂Cu₃O₇-d and NbN, I now focus on La₂/₃Sr₁/₃MnO₃ thin-film devices, including uncooled bolometric sensors, MEMS, and magnetoresistive elements. I am especially interested in the relationship between defects and electronic transport, with the goal of enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio of these sensors.
